Son of Mrs. Lydia S. Greaves who resided in Providence, Rhode Island.

Warren served as a Technical Sergeant & Engineer / Top Turret Gunner on B-24D #42-72847, 513rd Bomber Squadron, 376th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Providence County, Rhode Island prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on January 17, 1942 in Providence, Rhode Island. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in woodworking and also as Single, without dependents.

B-24D #42-72847 took off from San Pancrazio, Italy on a bombing mission over Regensburg, Germany. After the bombing mission was completed B-24J #42-100253, for an unknown reason, crashed into B-24D #42-72847 causing both aircraft to crash in Germany during the war.

Warren was "Killed In Action" in this crash.

He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.

He was originally interred in France and was later repatriated here on December 8, 1948.
