At the time, he lived in Greencastle and was farming. The record shows he was born October 5, 1873, His wife was listed as Ida Margaret Cosner and he signed as Otis Samuel Cosner.

Otis S. Cosner, a former Stilesville resident, died last Thursday in his home, RR 2, Greencastle. Funeral services were Sunday afternoon in the Rector Funeral Home with burial in Stilesville Cemetery. Mr. Cosner was born 83 years ago at Stilesville, but had lived the past 53 years in Putnam County. He was a member of the Mount Meridian Methodist Church. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Ida Cosner; a son, William N. Cosner, trustee of Jefferson Township, Putnam County; and three grandchildren.
