John Henry Hobbs was the son of Samuel Kelsey Hobbs and Mahala Jane Gann. John married Emma Babcock July 7, 1884 in Union Co, Oregon. Together they had 5 sons (William E, Henry Leonard "Bert", Samuel Clarence, George Earl & Ernest Newell Hobbs,and 2 daughters Hazel Grace and Maude M. Hobbs. John's son Henry Leonard was the father Of Henry Roland "Bud" Hobbs MGM recording Western singer in the 1950's.
Note: still searching for burial site and death info for his wife Emeline (Emma) Babcock Hobbs she was born May 20, 1864 I have that she died 1925 in Bakersfield, Kern Co, but as yet haven't been able to confirm the death date or place. If anyone has the info I'd love to hear from you.(9/26/15)
