Funeral for Donald Leland Steele, 77, of Trinity will be Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at 3:30 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cameron Douglas and the Rev. Carol Hallman officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Steele, who died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Parkway Medical Center, was born Aug. 25, 1930, in Brownsville, Texas, to Guy Leland and Christelle Morgan Steele. He was a member of First Christian Church where he served as an Elder. He retired from Amoco Chemicals.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Muriel Steele; one daughter, Vickie Lynn Eberhart and her husband, Jack, of Albany, Ga.; one son, Guy Thomas Steele of Somerville; one brother, Jimmy L. Steele and his wife, Toni, of Athens, Texas; one sister, Dolores Schaefer of Silsbee, Texas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family members, and the Elders and Deacons of First Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church.
