Phillip Lambert, 82, Hallock, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004.

Phillip Arvid Lambert was born Nov. 7, 1922 in Kennedy, the son of Archie and Julianne (Norum) Lambert. He grew up in Northcote until the age of five, when his parents made their home on a farm east of Hallock, Kittson, Minnesota.

He attended school at the Hazelton county school and graduated from the Northwest School of Agriculture at Crookston in 1939. He worked in Los Angeles, California until he was drafted into the Army in 1943.

Phillip attended basic training at Fort Custer and served in the South Pacific Theater as a platoon sergeant and troop leader in charge of securing the area after the atomic bomb. After his honorable discharge, he married Rose Randazzo in Detroit, Mich. on Feb 17, 1946. They lived in Detroit until 1955 when they moved to the family farm near Hallock, Kittson, Minnesota and farmed there until 1987 when they retired. Phillip was a member of NFO, the Minnesota Milk Producers Association and served on the Hazelton township Board.

Family members include his wife, Rose; a daughter, Linda (Floyd) Seay, Mesa, Arizona.; sons, David (Terry), Lake Stevens, Washington., Stanley (Lena), St. Clair Shores, Michigan.; Neil (Kris), Ham Lake, Minnesota; Ed (Diane), Wellsville, Utah, Ralph (Theresa, Emily, Minnesota, Richard (Monica), Hallock, Minnesota and Ross (Cheryl), Drayton, Minnesota; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Lambert, Karlstad, Minnesota, Dorothy Flaherty, Emily, Minnesota, Grace (Ted) Smit, Why, Arizona and Marjorie Carlson, Arizona City, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Raymond Phillip Lambert; and a brother, Harold Lambert.

Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Hallock. Interment was in the Two River Cemetery, Hallock. Rev. Timothy Noah, presided.

Honorary pallbearers and pallbearers were Phillip's grandchildren.
