G R Slay, 73 years of age, who died at his home in this city, was laid to rest in the cemetery at Damascus, one mile north of here. Mr Slay had been a rural mail carrier for many years and was one of the best known and highly esteemed men in Copiah county. he is survived by his widow and six children Robert Slay, Walter Slay, Mrs Anna Bell Ford, Mrs Shelby Brown and Miss Mignonne Slay and a small daughter. he was a member of the Damascus Baptist church and Woodmen of the World lodge.
