He married, in Grafton, Worcester, MA, 7 Jun 1775, Lucy Merriam, daughter of Deacon Joseph and Hannah (Wadsworth) Merriam. He died in Grafton, Worcester, MA, 25 Aug 1841, aged 89 years, while his widow, Lucy (Merriam) Adams, died also in Grafton, Worcester, MA, 19 Mar 1842, aged 86 years (she was born in Grafton, Worcester, MA, 30 Dec 1755).
