On Monday morning of last week, at the family home near Kibbee, Mrs. O'Conner, wife of Mr. James O'Conner, died at the extreme age of 80 years, 1 month and 1 day. She was the wife of one of the oldest and most highly respected citizens who still lives, and a sister of Hon. Charles Hamilton, to whose memory the Daughters of the American Revolution last year placed a marking tablet.
Besides her aged husband, Mrs. O'Conner is survived by eight children, Mrs. Mary A. Rogers, Mrs. Elizabeth Palmer, Mrs. Alice Parker, Mrs. Margie Johnson, Mrs. C.A. Moore, Hon. James B. O'Conner, Mrs. Lucinda Williams and Mrs. Eliza Fountain. One sister, Mrs. J.E. Palmer is still living.
The remains were laid to rest on Tuesday in the Hamilton Family Cemetery, Rev. S.D. Walker performing the funeral service.
