Wiley M. Bishop 80, Dies Suddenly At Barnwell Home
Mr. Wiley M. Bishop, 80, a native and life long resident of Barnwell, Ala., died
suddenly at the family residence Tuesday morning, July the 13th.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Bishop, Barnwell; three daughters, Mrs.
Clenton Bauer, Fairhope, Mrs. E.F. Huffman, Mobile and Mrs. Luther, Fairhope;
three sons, Morgan L. Bishop, Mobile, Charles E. Bishop, Fairhope and Leon M.
Bishop, Cleveland, Ohio, who was here about two weeks ago for a visit with his
parents; three sisters, Mrs. C.C. Hires, Fairhope, Mrs. Andrew Benton and D.H.
Nelson, both of Bon Secour; three brothers, George Bishop, Cleveland, Ohio,
Walter T. Bishop and Lewis Bishop, both of Mobile; thirteen grandchildren and
two great grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral services are being held this afternoon (Thursday) at two o'clock from
the family residence and at the Baptist Church in Barnwell at 2:30.
Interment will be in Brook Cedar Cemetery. Arrangements by Higgins Mortuary.
