Bobby Delano Summers, 68, of Ravenswood, formerly of Elkview, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, at Meadowbrook Acres Nursing Home, after a long illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Chloie Summers.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of I.B.E.W. Local No. 659, Medford, Ore. He was also an accomplished fiddle player.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Penny Woods and Jenny Shamblin, both of Elkview, Linda Fuller of Fuquay Varina, N.C.; sons, Mark Summers of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Robert Summers of Elkview; sisters, Helen Withrow of Elkview, Peggy Summers of Clendenin, Marjorie Wills of Centertown, Tenn., Ernestine Stump of Ocal Boone Memorial Panda, Fla.; brothers, James E. Summers of Grantspass, Ore., Ronald J. Summers of Norfolk, Va.; 12 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Jackson County Memorial Gardens, Cottageville, with Pastor Michael J. Grider officiating. There will be no visitation.

Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, is in charge of arrangements.
