Funeral services for Jeff Lynn Stark were held Friday, June 6, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Dimock, with Rev. David Otten and Rev. Chris Boehnke officiating.
Interment was made in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Dimock, with Koehn Bros. Funeral Home, Parkston, in charge of arrangements. Casketbearers were Tim Geidel, Tim Fystrom, Tim Rands, Jarren Bartelt, Chris Kayl, and Johnathon Drefs.
Jeff Lynn Stark was born January 20, 1973, to Richard and Gerry (Geidel) Stark in Minneapolis, Minn. He attended school in Parkston, graduating from Parkston High School in 1991. He entered the United States Air Force and served his country for three years.
He was united in marriage to Katherine Johannesen on August 5, 1994. They moved to Sioux Falls where he worked various jobs. Most recently, Jeff was a team leader at Esurance. He joined the Army National Guard in Sioux Falls in 2006.
He died Tuesday, June 3, at his home in Harrisburg at the age of 35.
He is survived by his father, Richard, Dimock, a sister, Angie Jongeling and husband, Jerry, Tea, Katherine Stark and their son, Preston, Sioux Falls, special friend, Sara Geffre and their daughter, Emily, Harrisburg, grandmother, Helen Geidel, Parkston and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gerry, two grandfathers and a grandmother.
