Sue Nell (Cook) Strope Bishop
Sue Nell Strope Bishop, 83, of Fayetteville, died Friday (July 20, 2007) at Lincoln Skill Care Center.
Mrs. Bishop was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
She loved flowers, cooking and sewing.
Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Jessie Strope, Jr.; second husband, William Mitchell Bishop; sister, Lena Reynolds; and brothers, Hoyett Cook and B.O. Cook.
She is survived by sons, Robert (Becky) Strope and James (Jean) Strope of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Robert Anthony Strope, Jennifer Laine Stanly, Jessica Leigh Honey, Emily Anne King and Julia Anna Townsend; step-son, Kenneth (Mary Alice) Bishop of Lexie Crossroads; step-grandchildren, Donna Mason, Ken Bishop, Sammy Shields Whitworth and Steven Scott Whitworth; 19 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Marshall (Ruth) Cook of Springfield.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Roy B. Watson Chapel of the Watson-North Funeral Home in Winchester with the Rev. Van Johnson officiating. Interment was in Maxwell Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Roy Butler, Dennis Noah, Danny Strope, Mike Strope, Carl Strope and David Cook.
