Funeral services for Mrs. Lona S. Carey, 84, who died in Alexandria November 12, were held last Saturday, at 10 a.m., from the Old Anacoco church, with the Rev. Crawford, officiating. Interment was in the Old Anacoco cemetery, under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home.
A native of Kentucky, Mrs. Carey has resided in Vernon parish most of her lifetime.
Surviving are one son, A. D. Carey, Leesville, and one daughter, Mrs. Jessie Cummings, Beaumont, Texas. Also, seven grandchildren.
