She was born in China Spring, Texas, to the late Alexander and Ethel Susan Jay Chapman. Annamargaret was formerly of Houston before moving to Lindale in 1999. She graduated from Waco High School in 1940, 4C Business School, and attended Baylor University. Annamargaret married Alton D. "Blackie" Soules in 1943, and they had a daughter, Kay Lynn. She was a member of the China Spring Methodist Church and was the owner of Soules Antiques in Lindale.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Walton Matthews; and a sister, Iris Kleen.
Survivors include her husband of 65½ years, Alton D. "Blackie" Soules, of Lindale; daughter, Kay Lynn Soules and husband, Richard Hugh Soules, of Lindale; and many other family members and friends.
