Obituary Text: Clinton Courier April 26, 1995 Purnie Kite April 23, 1995 Purnie S. Hatmaker Kite, 95, of Oak Grove Community of Lake City, died Sunday in Lafollette Medical Center.Mrs. Kite was a charter member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a homemaker.She was preceded in death by her husband, William Luther Kite, son, Joseph Lee Kite, daughter, Geraldine Campos, and parents, John L. and Laura Lawson Hatmaker. Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, James Kelly and Mildred Kite and Charles Kite, all of Lake City, William Clyde and Mary Kite of Jefferson, Ohio.,and David and Judy Kite of Johnson City, three daughters and a son-in-law, Lucille Dossett and Ruth Littleton, both of Lake City, and Ann and C.B. Smith of Knoxville, 25 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Emmer Beach of Lake City and Ottie King of Powell. Funeral service was Tuesday in Cox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Foust officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
