Obituary: Mrs. Williamson was born to Elias Presley and Alice McAlpin Lamberth in Leesville, on August 16, 1912. She was graduated from Leesville High School in 1929 and attended University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette.

"Miss Nettie," as she was called by her friends, was a faithful member of First Baptist Church for 68 years. She made a profession of faith and was baptized at the age of 12. She was director of the Junior Department in Sunday School for many years. She also assisted with the Adult IV Department, taught Training Union, and served on many committees including the Nominating and Anniversary Committees. She was also active in civic affairs. She served on the Leesville City Council in the early 1950's. With her husband, Robert T. (Bob) Williamson, she owned the Ben Franklin Store on Third Street for 18 years. They were members of the Chamber of Commerce and supported activities involving Leesville and Fort Polk. She was a past president of the Pilot Club and a member of the Vernon Parish Historical Association. She supported the 4-H program by being a leader in Vernon Parish.

As an active member of the Leesville High School Alumni Association, she participated in every aspect of the association's work. She was past president and a board member. She was named Alumnus of the Year in 1981. She supported their on-going work by helping with the "KIN" memberships given to newly-graduating alumni. In 1991, the association and school honored her by naming her Grand Marshal of the Homecoming Parade.

Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Nelson Williamson; her brothers, E. P. Lamberth, Jr., Rees Lamberth and Isaac Lamberth; and her sister, Vera Lamberth Hill.

Survivors: Her husband, two daughters, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
