Eva Cason Mosley
(January 16, 1913 - June 14, 2008)

Eva Cason Mosley, 95, of Waycross passed away Saturday morning (June 14, 2008) at Baptist Village after an extended illness. She was born in Clinch County to the late Rev. Alfred Joe Cason and Zela Sedgwick Cason and lived in Waycross for most of her life. Ms. Mosley was a homemaker and a member of Kettle Creek Church. She was a resident of Baptist Village for nearly 21 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Mosley; four sons, Harris Mosley, Ernest Mosley, Cortez Mosley, Roy Mosley and an infant daughter; three granddaughters, Joyce Mosley, Teresa Lacey, Lynn Mosley; five sisters, Lizzie Evans, Myrtle Masden, Mary Louise Pittman, Zela Mae Smith and Wilma Carter; two brothers, Alfred Gibbs Cason and Buren Cason; a son-in-law, William "Bill" Holt.

Survivors include one daughter, Elga Holt, Waycross, one son, Billy Mosley and his wife Ann, Tifton, GA, two sisters Jeanette Phelan and her husband Walt, Waycross, Margaret Burch, Waycross, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 4 pm at Kettle Creek Church. Burial will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery. Ms. Mosley will lie in state at the church two hours prior to the service.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 -8 pm at the funeral home.

The family requests that the staff of Baptist Village serve as Honorary Pallbearers and should meet at the church by 3:40 pm Tuesday for the service.
