Obituary
Austin H. Babcock was born on the 9th of October 1835, in Augusta, N. Y., and lived there until he was married, when with his wife he went to New York City where he lived for about five years. Then with his family he moved to Rochester, Minn, where he lived for 8 years, then to Renville Co, where he lived for 7 years, then in 1876 he came to Dodge county and settled in Dodge Center where he lived until 1883, his family being broken up, he then moved to Oriskany, N. Y., where he lived until his health began to fail in March 1907, when he came to West Concord to live with his son. He died on Feb. 3rd, 1908, at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 21 days. Those left to mourn his loss are one daughter, Mrs. A. A. Kimbirk, of Darlington, Wis., three sons, I. E. and W. A. Babcock, of St. Paul and B. L. of West Concord; one brother, J. W. Babcock, of Minneapolis and a sister, Julia Sperry, of Oriskany Falls, N. Y.
