John Braxton Puckett, Jr. age 78, went home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2008.

He had been retired after serving his country in the United States Air Force more than 22 years. John was born on April 27, 1930 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to the late John Braxton and Hulda (Crosley) Puckett.

He attended high school and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on October 21, 1948. He married Betty Kinnison on June 21, 1953 in Jeffersonville, Ohio.

John retired on June 1, 1970 with the rank of Master Sergeant. After retirement, he worked for OMS and later, ITT. Mr. Puckett enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and the mountains of Colorado. He was an active member of Living Springs Worship Center.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty; his niece: Linda Blaylock of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and a cousin: Max Crosley of Kansas.

Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Living Springs Worship Center, 640 Manitou Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.
Graveside Services with Air Force Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver at Staging area "A."

Memorials may be made to Living Springs Worship Center, Missions.
