Ralph H. Hixson, age 30 years, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. S.W. Hixson, also residing at their ranch on Kirtley creek. He was born in Laramie Wyoming. The family came to this county 17 years ago, and settled on the farm five miles from town, where they have since resided. On January 1st, 1915, Ralph was married to Miss Bessie Adams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Adams, pioneer and most highly respected residents of Salmon. Besides the widow, and the two brought little children, he is survived by the parents, and a brother, Floyd Hixson. All these will be present at the funeral, which will be held at two o'clock this Wednesday afternoon at Presbyterian church, Rev. C.A. Hawley preaching the discourse.
Deceased has suffered for two years with his ailment, caused by a sarcoma cancer. He had visited celebrated physicians in Butte and Chicago, all of whom pronounced his sickness severely at times, but was always patient, and at no time gave up hope of ultimate recovery. In all his sickness he was personally cared for by a devoted wife, who rarely left his side. He was bedfast for the past few weeks, and though he failed rapidly, he never gave up, and was a brave and patient sufferer.
The death of Ralph Hixson removes from earth one of the kindest, gentlest and most devoted of men, both as a husband and father. In health he was industrious, enterprising and an excellent neighbor. The family have the sincerest sympathy of a numerous host of friends in the hour of their deep grief.
