Mr. May was born August 11, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Curtis and Ethel (Smith) May, who are deceased. He served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1968, retiring as a Sergeant First Class.
He was employed for 20 years with Colorado Springs Utilities in the carpentry department. He was a member of the VFW, DAV and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He was married August 22, 1980 to Linda Franklin, who survives. He is also survived by his sons Ronald and James May, his daughters Dorothy Salazar and Linda Michalski and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard May and sister Genevieve Nash.
Visitation was Monday, June 9th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Home. Services were 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10th at Swan-Law Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
