Beloved father, grandfather & great-grandfather died May 24, 2008 in Colorado Springs, CO at the age of 77.
He was born in Franklinville, NC to Connie & Nellie Benner. He also lived in FL from 1962 until moving to GA in the mid 1980's.
Raymond served proudly in the US Navy as a young man. He went on to have a lifelong career in the airline business beginning with Northeast Airlines and retiring from Delta Airlines.
Raymond married Blanche Marie Fidler who preceded him in death in 1999; together they had three children, Kevin E. Benner of West Palm Beach, FL, Debra A. Mazza of Colorado Springs, CO and Raymond L. Benner of Margate, FL. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
Memorial Services and inurnment will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale FL on Friday, June 21, 2008 at 3:00 p.m.
