Outstanding Youth of Between The Rivers Buried September 28


Death came to Flem Colson, Tuesday, September 28, at his home near Energy, Between the Rivers, following an extended illness of several months. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. H H Colson having been born to them November 25, 1927. He was an outstanding young man and had a wide circle of friends. He attended Trigg County high and graduated with the 1946 class.

In early boyhood he professed faith in Christ and lived true to his convictions all of his short life.

Survivors are his parents, two brothers, Clint Colson, of Paducah, and Charles Colson, Detroit, Mich.; four sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Smith, Paducah; Mrs. Hobert Luton, Golden Pond; Mrs. Clifton Scott and Mrs. W.W. Ezell, both of Detroit; and three nieces, Regina Smith, Patsy and Peggy Scott; a Grand father, P. Colson, of Golden Pond and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock September 29, from Ferguson Spring Baptist Church, with Rev. Rudolph Noel officiating. Burial was made in the near by cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Hyrum Chambers, Kalsa Calhoun, G C Fennell, Ben Newton, Billie Lamb and Cecil Johnson.

Flower girls were Mary Grace Colson, Waline Chambers, Lillian Colson, Virginia Fennell, Thelma Fennell, Estell Calhoun, Myrta Rhea Page and Lucille Wilson.
