Born May 30, 1916, in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Green Rowland and Lucy Belle Rowland. She was also predeceased by her husband, Burton L. Dalton; three brothers and four sisters, Hamet Rowland, Herbert Rowland, Carlton Rowland, Pearl Mitchell, Myrtle Morris, Edith Robertson and Irene Rowland. Mrs. Dalton was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Gretna Branch, where she played the piano for 47 years. She was a home maker.
The last survivor of her immediate family, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Gretna Branch by President Beasley and First Counselor Alfred Lester. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
