She was kind, considerate, and friendly. She was always jolly & loved to talk about the past.
She married Marcus Maxwell Moore November 4, 1899 in Arkansas. Her sister, Aunt Kate told me they came to Texas with her father and several other family members in the summer of 1900.

MOTHER'S RECIPE FOR SUCCESS MIXES LOVE, GOD, AND A FIRM HAND
Loving your children, teaching them the ways of the Lord, and not being afraid to use a switch seemed to be the consensus of some of Paris' oldest and most experienced mothers on raising children.
Tommie Ann Moore is one of the older mothers in Paris. The 101-year-old resident of Cherry Street Manor Nursing Home has been a mother for around 80 years. Mrs. Moore's advice for young mothers today is to "Stay at home with your children and keep house."
Mrs. Moore said that she kept her children at home with her while they were growing up, and that the best thing a mother can do is put her children to work so that they will learn the value of the work ethic at an early age.
Mrs. Moore, who was born in Independence County, Arkansas, came to Texas in 1901 when she was 19-years-old via a covered wagon. She said that she remembers her own mother raised her to work and to be nice to people. "I was raised that way and I haven't departed from it."
Mrs. Moore has three children, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. "When you get old, you like the childen. The little children (great-grandkids) come here so pretty and nice and I just want to nurse them you know. With my own children I never had time to do that because I worked all the time to keep everything in its place."
Mrs Moore has lived at Cherry Street Manor for six years. She lived in Hopkins County near Cumby most of her life.

My great Aunt Tommie was a positive, kind, loving person.
I can still see that lovely smile.
