Sheena Nichole Stone, 21, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at her residence.

She had been a resident of Polk County for the past eight years, moving there from McMinn County. She was of the Baptist faith and will be remembered by her family as someone who was able to express herself through art and writing.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Luther Stone; one aunt, Linda Sanford; one uncle, Tommy Powell; and one great-aunt, Phyllis Ramsey.

Survivors include one son, Logan T. Cross of Benton; her father and stepmother, Bobby and Tina Stone of Benton; her mother and stepfather, Regina and Ron Townsend of Cleveland; her fiancé, Michael "Bull" Cross of Benton; one sister, Mindy Cox of Cleveland; two brothers, Tyler Cox of Riceville, and Michael Townsend of Cleveland; her grandparents, Reba Stone of Benton, and Richard and Ruby Tomlinson of Calhoun; and several aunts, uncles, extended family members and many friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Minister West Dandridge, the Rev. Tony Vines and the Rev. Carl Haulk officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, concluding with a white dove release provided by the funeral home.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
