Mrs. Martha Sageser, wife of Dr. Newton Sageser, died at her home in the Hanly neighborhood, Tuesday, September 27, 1904, after a long illness, age 63. Newton and Martha were married June 15, 1869. She was a most excellent lady and had a great many friends in the county. The decreased leaves a husband and two children; Samuel Sageser and Mrs. Harry Megee; also the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. W. H. Dean and Mrs. Ed. Brunder, this county; Mrs. Frank Sageser, Hale City, Texas; Dr. Nelson Mays, Paint Lick, KY; John Mays, Little Hickman. Funeral services were conducted at the residence Wednesday, September 28, 1904 by Rev. C. M. Humphreys.
