Born March 15, 1922, in Jackson, Ky., to the late Alex and Nora Gibbs Vires. A Preble County resident for most of her life, she devoted herself to her family as she and husband James, together raised 10 children. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, James; brothers, Chester, Roy, Arthur, and Reed Vires; sisters, Hazel Quesenberry, Lily Dailey and Nettie Ruth Vires; and granddaughter, Jenny Cooper.
Survived by her 10 children, James "Gene" Sizemore, Donald Sizemore and wife Linda, Kenneth Sizemore and wife Laurie, all of West Alexandria, Ohio, Richard Sizemore and wife Gerry of Hamilton, Ohio, Jennings "Marty" Sizemore of Hope, Ind., Michael Sizemore and wife Patience of Waynesville, N.C., and Darryl Sizemore and wife Kim of Fort Meyers, Fla.; daughters, Peggy Hahn of Murphy, N.C., Linda Cooper and husband Gary of Athens, Ala., Paulette Fey and husband Doug of Lebanon, Ohio; grandmother to 19 and great-grandmother to 30. Also survived by devoted sister, Pearl Uhlman of Independence, Ky.; and lifelong friend, Helen Cornett; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008. Interment Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria.
