She had been in failing health for the past three years and seriously ill for the last three months.
Born July 10, 1911, in Greencastle, she was the daughter of the late George and Bessie (St. Clair) Weagley.
Mrs. Zimmerman was a graduate of the Greencastle Senior High School with the Class of 1930.
She was a resident of Waynesboro for 60 years, and retired from the Freeman Shoe Co. in 1976 after 40 years of employment.
Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ Waynesboro.
She also was a member of the Sunshine Club, Smithsburg; the AARP Chapter No. 739; and the national AARP.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou Carbaugh of Waynesboro and Carolyn Sue Roy of Middletown, R.I.; one son, Harvey K. Zimmerman of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Ioletta Weagley of Keedysville, Md., and Louise George of Texas; two brothers, Ralph Weagley and Martin Weagley, both of Hagerstown; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Zimmerman was preceded in death by a son, Donald Zimmerman, and four brothers.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Snyder Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donald R. Stevenson officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurses Hospice, 21 Chapel St., Middletown, R.1. 02840.
