He was born in Madison, Ind., to the late Mack and Margaret Spray Buchanan and was married to Elois Egerton Buchanan, who survives. He retired from Lorillard Tobacco Co. after 35 years of service and attended People's Memorial Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife of the home; daughter, Laura White of Burlington; son, Scott Buchanan of Burlington and granddaughters, Bailey White and Melissa Buchanan.
