Mrs. Julia Bourke, Monemore, Emly.

Deep regrets is felt throughout Emly district at the death of Mrs. Julia Bourke, widow of the late Mr. Morgan Bourke, rate collector, Monemore, Emly. The deceased who had reached a fine age, was a lady whose gentle nature and kind heart won for her the affectionate regard of a legion of friends. Her son, Daniel Bourke, was for several years a highly-esteemed member of the South Tipperary County Council.

The remains were removed to St. Ailbe's Church, Emly, on Monday evening, where they were received by the Rev. Father Fogarty, C.C. Office and High Mass were celebrated on Tuesday, the celebrants being the Very Rev. Canon Lanigan, P.P, Emly: deacon, Rev. Dr. Slattery, P.P, Lattin: sub-deacon Rev. Father Sampson C.C., Knockaney: Master of ceremonies, Rev. Father McGrath, C.C. Tipperary. In the choir were Rev. Father Humphries, P.P, Knockaney; Rev. Father Fogarty, C.C. Emly; Rev. Father Hayes, C.C. Tipperary, and Rev Father Cahill, C.C. Lattin.

The Funeral, which was representative of Limerick and Tipperary, tool place to St. Michael's Cemetery, Tipperary, Immediately after.

The above clergy officiated at the graveside.
The chief mourners were - D. J. Bourke (son); S. M. Bourke (daughter); Mrs. Greene, Killea (sister).
The enormous cortege, over three miles long, was representative of the mary parts of Limerick and Tipperary and was an eloquent testimony to the sorrow felt at the passing of the deceased and the sympathy was with the bereaved relatives.
