Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Monday, January 20, 1975:
   Everett T. "Doc" Baird, 52, 1418 Grand Ave., died at 8:50 p.m. Saturday in St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, where he had been a patient for the past 10 days.
   A lifelong resident of the Edwardsville area, Mr. Baird owned and operated the Midwest Foundry Supply Co. here.
   He was born on Dec. 24, 1922 in Edwardsville. His parents were the late Leslie S. and Myrtle DeMott Baird.
   He was married to Nina Jane Heady in the St. Mary's Catholic Church rectory on April 26, 1946. She survives.
   Also surviving is a son, Tom Baird of Edwardsville.
   Mr. Baird was a member of the Edwardsville Optimists Club, the Edwardsville Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1299 and the American Foundrymen's Society.
   He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
   Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at Weber Funeral Home.
   The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Roger Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
   Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.
