Professional Football Player. For eleven seasons (1981 to 1991), he played at the defensive end position with the Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts. Born Lawrence Donnell Thompson, he attended Lumberton High School in North Carolina and played collegiate football at the University of North Carolina. Selected by the Baltimore Colts during the 1st round of the 1981 NFL Draft, he totaled 147 career regular season games and totaled 41 sacks. After retiring from football, he operated a McDonald's restaurant.
