Dr. Badgley was widely known, having practiced medicine in this village since 1888. He was also active in civic and educational life and was president of the Board of Education.
He was born at Collamer, son of Jacob H. (sic) and Emily Badgley. He attended Yates Institute in Chittenango and obtained his medical education in Chicago. He practiced in East Syracuse, Syracuse, and Aurora, L. I., before locating to Fayetteville 48 years ago.
He had served as health officer of the Town on Manlius and in 1929 was a candidate for the Republican nomination fof coroner of Onondaga County.
Dr. Badgley was a member of the Fayetteville United Church, the Fayetteville Lodge, F. and A. M., and I. O. O. F. lodge. He was a past master and past secretary of the Masonic lodge.
