Services for Augustus Matthew "Gus" Choate, 55, were held at Salem Methodist Church. Mr. Choate moved to South Bend in 1938 from Ranger, Texas. He was a member of the South Bend Methodist Church.
Survived by his wife; his mother; four brothers - Gilbert, M.A., Wilburn and Lewis Choate; four sisters - Mrs. Vera Hawkins, Mrs. Ethel Copeland, Mrs. Pearl Harrison and Mrs. Elmo Young.
