CIVIL WAR VETERAN. U.S. Navy. Continued to serve for 4 years after the Civil War. Chief engineer on battleship Sassagus. Occup: mechanical engineer at 34 Court Street, Rochester, N.Y. Lived in Cleveland, Ohio and Buffalo, N.Y. While in Cleveland invented a paper bag machine and realized considerable profit from it. Rochester address: 18 Vick Park A. Died of angina pectoris.
