The deceased moved with his parents when a child from Missouri to Cumberland County, Tennessee. When 21 years of age, Julius marrie Jan. 14, 1857 Miss Letitia Kindred, she being three years his senior. To them were born five daughters all but one of whom survive as the devoted wives of highly esteemed citizens as follows: Nora. wife of John Snyder, near Athens; Ida, wife of Rev. W.E. Daugherty, a minister of the Christian Church in GA, but will soon locate in Etowah, McMinn County, Tennessee; Cora, wife of J.D.
