Jeremy L. Whitcomb
April 15, 1983 - May 18, 2002
Jeremy Lynn Whitcomb, 19, of Crossville, passed away May 18, 2002. Funeral services were conducted May 21 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., with burial in Creston Cemetery. Joey Smith and Joe James officiated.
Mr. Whitcomb was born April 15, 1983, in Crossville, the son of Jim and Valerie Whitcomb.
He was a chef at Ruby Tuesday, and worked at T&T Construction and the Kmart Garden Shop.
The soul of a young man has gone on and is waiting. Our beloved Jeremy Lynn Whitcomb was an angel in waiting, loaned to us on this earth for a blessed 19 years, until it was time for the loan to be repaid. When the time had come for the collection to be made, we did not lose Jeremy, he has only returned home. He has made his final journey, only to be reunited on that Resurrection Day.
He has not only left behind his family, but also his abundance of friends - friends who he would do anything for, never saying no to anyone. Jeremy left this world while helping a friend in need, and wouldn't have had it any other way. To know how much he was loved and cherished was evident as the several hundred mourners waited patiently in line to pay their final respects.
Not only did he always have a permanent friendly smile, but he had a warm heart that was shared with everyone - a heart so big it required a large body to accommodate it.
Jeremy will be sadly missed by his loving family and caring friends, and will always be cherished in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Lila Whitcomb.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
