Norma Holloway Forrester, 89, 372 Red Hill Road, Butler, passed away Friday, May 23, 2008, at her residence.


A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Griffin P. and Donnie Mae Rainbolt Berry. She was a former employee of North American Rayon Corporation and Burlington Industries. She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church but attended Cobbs Creek Baptist Church. She loved to work in her garden.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Burl Holloway; her second husband, Dexter Forrester; and four brothers: Sanford, Wayne, Tine and Fred Berry.


Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James Elbert and Leslie Forrester, of the home; two grandchildren, James Dean Forrester and Jessica Lynn Forrester; and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Carl Johnson and the Rev. Dennis Peterson officiating. Interment will follow in Butler Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at her residence.
