Mrs. Anderson was born in Idaho to Will and Clara (Edens) Anderson.
He completed his high school education, also in Rupert, in the class of 1958 at Minco High School.
In May of that year, he enlisted in the Navy and was honorably discharged four years and 26 days later on Nov. 30, 1962.
Mr. Anderson worked for Kraft Foods as its maintenance manager in Rupert from then until 1969.
He married Dorothy Marie Fleming that same year in Reno and they moved to Klamath Falls.
He worked for Ralph's Refrigeration before starting his own business, Northwest Heating & Air Conditioning, in 1970. It was later expanded to United Mechanical Contractors, a complete heating, air conditioning, and sheet metal shop.
In 1983, Mr. Anderson sold the business to his partner, Doug McCabe, and went into semi-retirement.
He then decided to buy another small business, High Desert Home Specialities, in 1985 and oeprated it until his illness forced his complete retirement.
He was an avid collector of Colt Lightning Rifles and the history connected to them. Among his other interests were boating, water skiing, hunting, fishing, and traveling to gun shows.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Anderson of Klamath Falls; daughter, Charlene Anderson and her friend Calvin Martin, of Klamath Falls; son, Johnny Anderson of Rupert; grandchildren, Brittany and Brecca; sisters, and brothers-in-law, Irene and Bob Rosenberg of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., and Joy and Dave Preckel of Nampa, Idaho; sisters-in-law, Peggy Preisz of Lincoln City, and Marleen Paske of Florecne, Mont.; niece and nephews, Lori and Jim Beseda of Portland and Mike and Dece Kohloer of Tuscon, Ariz.; and numerous other relatives and friends.
