Steven Lee Russell, Sr., 49, of West Liberty, Illinois passed away at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 22, 2005 at his home.
Funeral services at the Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL with Rev. Richard White officiating. Burial in the Bailey Cemetery in Latona, IL with full military rites by the Jasper Post #20 American Legion.
Steven was born December 4, 1955 in Effingham, IL, the son of Bob and Rosemary (Cole) Russell. Steven was a general contractor. He served in the United States Army from 1974 to 1976. He was a member of the Jasper Post #20 American Legion and Ste. Marie Post #932 American Legion. He was also a member of the Bridgeport Moose Lodge #622.
Steven is survived by his mother, Rosemary Craig of Wendelin, IL; his father Bob (Donna) Russell of Wheeler, IL; one son, Steven Lee (Jenny) Russell, Jr. of West Liberty, IL; his former wife, Sue Russell of Olney, IL; grandchildren Dylan, Destiney and Alexis Russell; brother Jeff Russell of Wendelin, IL; a half-brother Bobby Russell; two sisters Kathy (Allan) Clodfelter of Neoga, IL and Mary (Allen) Travous of Olney, IL and many nieces and nephews.
Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents.
