Shannon E. Garner, 29, of 230 S. 4th Street, died Thursday night at Hershey Medical Center, after an accidental drowning at her home that evening.

Born in Pottsville on October 2, 1974, she was a daughter of Franklin and Bonnie K. Witmer Ruch of Tower City and the late Jerry Light.

She was a graduate of Williams Valley School District and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tower City.

Her greatest joys in life were spending time with family who will deeply miss her.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Jason A., to whom she was married 8 years on June 7th; her son, Nace A. and her daughter, Nakayla M., both at home; 2 brothers, Eric Ruch of Wiconisco and Von Ruch of Georgia; her maternal grandmother, Mae Gongloff Witmer of Tower City; paternal grandmother, Gertrude McAllister of Missouri; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m., from the Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City R.D. There will be no viewing.

Memorial donations may be made to the Garner Family Fund, c/o Community Banks, Route 209, Tower City, PA 17980.

Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., Tower City, has charge of arrangements.
