Elizabeth E. Pirtle, 89, of Flat River, died Sept. 6, at Farmington Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 17, 1898, near Patton in Bollinger County to the late Christopher C. and Emma Burcham Wilfong.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Pirtle, and four sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, Christine (Mrs. Elwood) Pinkley of Flat River; one son, Charles Pirtle of Fountain Valley, Calif.; one daughter-in-law; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Flat River Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating.
Burial will be in Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
