James Frank "Jim" Lord, Age 59, of Tonka Bay, died of a heart attack on June 6, 2008.

Former State Senator and State Treasurer and prominent attorney. Survived by parents Miles & Maxine Lord; sisters Priscilla (Wayne) Faris and Virginia Lord (Rick Pollock); brother Mick Lord; nieces Maggie and Emma Faris, Jessica and Catherine Pollock; aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by nephew Wayne Gordon Faris, Jr.

Celebration of life Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 11 AM, Mount Calvary LUtheran Church, 301 County Rd. 19, Excelsior (952-474-8893). Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Private family interment Acacia Park Cemetery, Mendota Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted by the family to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 301 Cty. Rd. 19, Excelsior, MN, 55331, or the University of Minnesota Fairview Medical Center, c/o P.O. Box 729, Chanhassen, MN 55317. Many thanks to the entire staff at Methodist Hospital and the U of M Fairview Medical Center for the wonderful and compassionate care that was given to Jim.
