Lucille Rose Greener, 77, a very loving and dedicated wife, caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt--a true peacemaker in life--unselfishly answered our Heavenly Father's call on Friday, June 6, 2008.
Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Saint Ann Catholic Church in Burleson. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: (with rosary recitation) 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Lucille was born Sept. 19, 1930, and married Walter Theodore Greener on June 14, 1949. They had seven children, 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her family, which she took great pride and joy in, she had a tremendous love for polka music and the Rangers baseball team.
Lucille worked for All Saints Hospital in the maternity ward for eight years and for the Texas Employment Commission for 20 years before retiring.
She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church for 48 years.
Lucille was preceded in death by one of her sons, Don Greener; and her parents, Leona and Leo Green.
Survivors: Husband, Walter; children, William Greener, Kathryn Wathen, Gerald Greener, Randy Greener Sr., Jean Greener and Vernon Greener Sr.; their spouses; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers; sisters; nieces; nephews; and an abundance of friends.
