Alan Richard Wilson was one of many children born to Lester and Helen (Sabo) Wilson. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer as an adolescent but bravely fought against it for half a dozen years before succumbing to that dreadful disease. All the while he was determined to thoroughly enjoy life and that he did! He was smart and clever with a wonderful sense of humor. Raising and breeding tropical fish, collecting coins, and making rosaries by hand were some of his favorite hobbies. He also enjoyed fishing and playing baseball with his brothers.
