He was born in Lorain, OH where he lived until moving to Vermilion 16 years ago. He had attended Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and graduated from Lorain High School in 1962.
He was a United States Navy Veteran serving for 4 years. He worked at the US Steel Company in the electrical department until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing and boating.
He is survived by his wife, Grace (nee White); sisters, Marilyn (Paul) Firment of Elyria, Judy (Bill) Glowacki of Wakeman and Sandy (Ron) Crapo of Sheffield Lake; step-son, Dana (Shirley) Conley; step-daughter, Patty Bentley; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph P. and Nellie M. (Mroski) Bryda and brother, James J. Bryda, Sr.
