Alfred L. Danner, 65, of Martin, died Friday, May 23, 2008, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Danner were held Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin. Burial followed in Martin Memorial Garden. Rev. David Rogers and Freddie Brasfield officiated the services.
Mr. Danner, before retirement, owned and operated Bill's Auto Parts and was a Baptist by faith. Mr. Danner was a veteran of the National Guard. He was born January 29, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Freeman Danner and Louella Adams Danner. In addition to his parents, Mr. Danner was also preceded in death by his wife, Carol Clark Danner.
Mr. Danner is survived by a son, Steve Danner of Glasgow, Kentucky; a daughter, Regina Vickers of Martin; a brother, Larry Danner of Denver, Colorado; and five sisters, Betty Lou Smith of Dresden, Linda Sandefer of Nashville, Pam Kemp of Dresden, Karen Riddick of Nashville, and Nancy Carter of Medina.
