Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2001, at the Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hatchett Cemetery.
Mr. Posey was born on November 8, 1949, in Limestone County, AL.
He was a member of Mays Memorial Baptist Church. He was employed by the Public Works Department of the City of Huntsville.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley M. Posey of Toney, AL; two sons, Keith Posey of Elkmont, AL, and David Posey of Ardmore, AL; his parents, L.D. Posey and Lillie Hill Posey of Toney, AL; two brothers, Stanley Posey of Albertville, AL, and Randy Posey of Athens, AL; one sister, Deborah Downs of Toney, AL; and three grandchildren, Jessica, Makayla, and Dallas Posey.
