Charles H. Poston, for 17 years a resident of this city, dies Saturday morning at the Bonners Ferry Hospital of Cancer of the stomach. The funeral services were held at the Poston home on the Island yesterday afternoon at two o'clock and were conducted by Rev. G.H. Wilbur. There was a large crowd of the friends of the deceased and his family present and the coffin was piled high with beautiful floral tributes. The pall bearers were J.W. Jeffries, George Causton, E.L. Little, William Burke, Charles Cole and L.V. Walker.

The deceased was 62 years old on May 21 1918. He was born at Saltville, Va. He is survived by his wife and seven children (four children are dead): W.T. Poston, James Poston, John Poston, Judd Poston, Jack Poston, and Syble Poston, all of this city and Mrs. Nannie Call, of Saltville, Va.

The deceased had suffered from cancer from which he died for over 2 years. He was a hard working man, a kind husband and father and had the respect of his neighbors and acquaintances. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family. (found in the Bonners Ferry Hearld February 25, 1919.)

Burleigh Poston listed here as one of the children is a grandson not a son. Burleigh Poston was actually the son of William T Poston and Earleigh Roberts. There was two children from this union. Burleigh (son) Mary Katherine (daughter) who was taken back to Virginia when Earleigh passed away possibly because of the birth of Mary Katherine who was then left with William T Poston's sister Nannie Poston Call who lived in Virginia.

The headstone is no longer attached to the base. Charles and Wyoma are not buried in the same location. They are in the same Cemetery. Wyoma is buried close to the front gate of same Cemetery
